Sustainable Professions on the Labour Market. Status quo, estimates and perspectives
The project “Sustainable Professions on the Labour Market” deals with requirements of the labour market and the knowledge background, competences and skills of graduates of environment-related educations.
Companies and organisations which operate thematically in the sector of environment and sustainability and/or implement environmental or sustainable strategies internally are analysed and integrated into qualitative surveys. Thereby, the understanding of representatives of the labour market about environmental professions and necessary skills and competences as well as respective organisational forms are examined. The project findings are contextualised with the findings of the project “Environmental professions – modern and communicated diversely?” by surveying the perspective of pupils and students of environment‑related educations in regard to their future profession. The result of the project is a wide-ranging research report and a contribution to the publication “Education for a liveable Austria – education and consulting report 2016”.
